WeLab Bank, a virtual bank licensed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and The Kowloon Motor Bus Co Ltd announced a cross-industry partnership today with three offers to citizens and clients of the bank.
The first one saw passengers enjoying HK$2 off all bus fares until the end of the year when using WeLab Debit Card to pay the bus fares on e-payment system-enabled KMB buses.
The discount will be applicable when using either the physical WeLab card or Apple Pay on smartphones. It will be provided in the form of rebate with a monthly cap of HK$120.
The second offer saw KMB providing free rides for everyone for route 1A traveling between Sau Mau Ping (Central) and Star Ferry on the upcoming Sunday, route 108 traveling between Kowloon Bay (Kai Yip) and Braemar Hill on September 26 and route 96R traveling between Diamond Hill Station and Wong Shek Pier on October 3.
The third offer would be an in-bus mobile game launched by WeLab Bank, where passengers will have a chance to earn up to HK$2,000 account opening rewards and enter in a lucky draw for PlayStation 5. WeLab Bank existing customers can even earn an additional HK$2 rebate per ride upon completing the game, amounting to HK$4 rebate per trip in total.
