EMSD bans supply of three dehumidifier models and one television model in HK
The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department on Friday removed three models of dehumidifier and one television model from the record of listed models under the Energy Efficiency (Labelling of Products) Ordinance. Supply of these products is no longer allowed in Hong Kong with immediate effect.
Two of the dehumidifier models banned were produced by Whirlpool, with their model numbers being DS242HG and DS242HE respectively. The remaining model was ZANUSSI’s ZD2888.
As for the television banned in the city is SYKWORTH’s 32STD6200.
The department said the test results of these products showed that they failed to reach the relevant energy efficiency and performance characteristics, which the department has decided to remove these products from the record of listed models approved under the ordinance.
