A total of 16 candidates including Edward Leung Hei and Holden Chow Ho-ding from the largest pro-establishment party in Hong Kong have submitted nomination on Saturday to stand in the coming election.
Leung and Chow, both from the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB), will run in the Hong Kong Island East and New Territories North West sectors respectively.
Dominic Lee Tsz-king from New People's Party on the other hand will run in the New Territories North East sector.
Two will run in the labour and commercial (second) sector. They are Lee Kwong-yu and Martin Liao Cheung-kong.
Another 11 candidates submitted nomination today to run in the Election Committee sector. They include Kingsley Wong Kwok, Luk Chung-hung, Choy Wing-keung and Alice Mak Mei-kuen from the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions.
Four from DAB will run in this sector as well, including Lillian Kwok Ling-lai, Chan Hoi-wing, Elizabeth Quat Pui-fan and Cheung Kwok-kwan.
A total of 97 candidates have filed nominations as on Saturday.
