East Rail services between Mong Kok East and Hung Hom stations suspends
East Rail services between Mong Kok East and Hung Hom stations are suspended today due to the construction of the Sha Tin to Central Rail Link.
The downtime allows the checking of equipment, including the signalling system and tracks, after link work has been done to ensure services on the following days will not be affected.
It is the second closure to continue the construction, and the remaining eight closures will be on the selected Sundays between April and October.
Each suspension date will be announced at least a week in advance.
Shuttle buses also run between Hung Hom and Kowloon Tong stations during the time of closure.
However, some passengers did not notice the suspension. One said he has waited for over ten minutes for transiting the East Rail Line in Hung Hom. He found the new arrangement only after inquiring with the staff.
An elderly also said that he was aware of the suspension, so he reserved more time to take the shuttle bus that does not affect his plan.
