A 34-year-old driver was arrested for drunk driving as he fell unconscious behind the wheel after his Honda seven-seater hit another vehicle when parking at Tsui Ping North car park in the early hours of Saturday.
The incident occurred at around 2 am. The seven-seater was reversing when its rear end hit the front left of a
Mercedes Benz.
A pedestrian found out about the crash and reported it to a security guard at the car park, who later found the driver of the seven-seater, named Ng, slumped behind the wheel.
The guard attempted to shatter the window to the driver seat to wake Ng up but failed. The case was then reported to police as officers later came and successfully woke Ng up.
Ng was arrested for drunk driving after failing the alcohol breath test. No injury was reported.
The 42-year-old driver of the Benz named Wong came to the scene to learn what happened as well. He revealed he was going to sell his car, but now that the vehicle was damaged, he would need to put the sale on hold.
