Dim Sum crowned king in ‘Hong Kong Best Picks’ list compiled by HKers

Consolidated by Hong Kong Tourism Board, “Hong Kong’s Best Picks” for visitors, as recommended by the locals, are now available!
The “Hello Hong Kong ? My Best Picks – Most-liked Hong Kong Experiences” recommendation campaign concluded last month, with members of the public selecting their favorite Hong Kong experiences.

With the city’s fame as a culinary paradise, Dim Sum tops the “Foodie Pleasure” list and is widely chosen as the top choice. Hong Kong Style Milk Tea is voted in second place, followed by Egg Tart, Bubble Waffle, and Wonton Noodles.

As for the “Urban Oasis” category, one of the oldest fishing villages in Hong Kong, Tai O is known as the “Venice of the East” and is one of the most recommended urban oases for visitors, followed by Ha Pak Nai in Yuen Long, Thousand Island Lake in Tuen Mun, High Island Geo Trail in Sai Kung, and Tai Mo Shan in Tsuen Wan.

On the other hand, the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui is the best place to soak oneself in the scenery of Victoria Harbour and experience the development of Hong Kong’s “Hollywood of the East” over the past century, making it a worthy pick as Hong Kong’s most recommended city checkpoint.

Other recommendations include Wong Tai Sin Temple, Ladies’ Market, Gold Fish Street in Mong Kok, Pottinger Street in Central, and Temple Street in Jordan.

The board will promote the list to global visitors through its website, social media platforms, and celebrity sharing so that visitors can savor the most authentic Hong Kong experiences one by one.

Separately, the board thanked the public for the overwhelming support. The 1,000 winners whose picks matched most of the final list will be notified by email starting tomorrow and can collect a “Hello Hong Kong”- themed Octopus card (with a HK$150 stored value) and a campaign-themed Octopus card case set from the Kowloon Visitor Information Centre of the Hong Kong Tourism Board at Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier before Friday, 30 June 2023.
