Cheong confirmed her infection via a rapid antigen test that saw the result return positive.

The government announcements on Friday morning said Cheong last went to work on September 29 and wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work, including rapid antigen tests conducted daily. She also has no recent travel history.

The government statement added that her office will be disinfected.
