Delegation led by environment minister to depart for Beijing on Sunday night
A delegation led by Secretary for Environment and Ecology Tse Chin-wan will depart for a visit to Beijing on Sunday night, the government said.
Members of Tse’s delegation include two permanent secretaries for environment and ecology Vivian Lau Lee-kwan and Janice Tse Siu-wa; two deputy secretaries for environment and ecology Millie Ng Kiang Mei-kei and Anthony Li Ping-wai; and controller of the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) Christine Wong Wang.
During his visit to Beijing, Tse will meet with officials of the General Administration of Customs of China and the National Energy Administration.
Their discussions will cover various matters including food supply, food safety and energy, and the deepening of Hong Kong’s co-operation and exchanges with the mainland.
Tse will return to Hong Kong next Tuesday (Apr 18).
During his absence, Under Secretary for Environment and Ecology Diane Wong Shuk-han will be the Acting Secretary for Environment and Ecology.
