Police officers were investigating a suspected suicide case after a decoration worker found a dead man inside a warehouse he rented at Kai Ham village in Sai Kung on Tuesday.
The shocking discovery came when the worker, Ying, returned to the warehouse at around 1pm this afternoon to pick up some tools.
Police said the worker opened the door and found an odd smell emerging from inside and later found what looked like a human body sitting on the left of the warehouse.
Officers were called to the scene and confirmed that it was a dead body, which they believed had been dead for some time.
It is understood the worker did not know the deceased and he last accessed the warehouse about a month ago.
Villagers also told police during their investigation that they have noted a motorcycle being parked nearby the warehouse for more than a week.
Officers later discovered a bag next to the dead body, which holds a red jacket and various keys inside - including a key to the motorcycle. They also found a bag of charcoal inside the warehouse.
Police were continuing their investigation and have not ruled out the possibility of suicide as the cause of the man’s death.
