Former Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying on Thursday said he tested positive for Covid during his arrival at Hong Kong airport yesterday.
Leung, the current Vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said he is now in home quarantine after returning to Hong Kong from a six-day visit to Singapore and Cambodia.
He added he has not shown severe symptoms.
According to the new
Covid-prevention measures issued by the Hong Kong government today, confirmed patients will be required to stay in home quarantine for five days from this Friday, two days reduced by the former regulations.
