Crocodile caught in Pat Heung now under the care of Ocean Park
The crocodile found and caught in Pat Heung on Sunday was taken to Ocean Park for checkups and nursing.
Ocean Park stated that the 1.9-metre-long crocodile is believed to be a 4-year-old female Siamese Crocodile, weighing about 35 kg. It will be staying in the quarantine facilities in the park and being taken care of by veterinarians and specialist teams.
The park warned the residents that, for their own and the animals' wellbeing, they should not illegally buy and raise protected species such as crocodiles.
The park added that it has been working with the Agriculture, Fisheries, and Conservation Department for many years to care for the saved or seized sea turtles, fish, carols, and other illegally improvised and abandoned wild animals.
