Responding to lawmaker inquiries, Sun said the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer has been modifying the SAR’s official webpage and working on the Search Engine Optimisation of relevant websites in order to raise the ranking in search results.

Meanwhile, the minister said he had arranged meetings with Google’s management in the Asia-Pacific region to request the search engine remove wrong information regarding the city’s anthem.

He said they have agreed to maintain dialogue to work out a solution for the matter.

The OGCIO will also be in close contact with Google on the matter, he added.
