Coronavirus cases in the state have skyrocketed over the last two months, and the ICU capacity is now zero in Southern California and the San Joaquin Valley.
So what’s the problem? Transfer the excess to a California hospital that has ICU beds. This is just part of a disinformation game. Hospitals need to be at about 80% capacity to make money so hospitals don’t even regard 81% as critical—more usage, more profit. If one or two facilities get too low on facilities, transfer them out to hospitals with space. No problem
