CLP Power to distribute HK$100 coupons to 800,000 families
Starting this month, nearly 800,000 eligible families will receive from CLP Power two coupons worth HK$100 which can be used in some 2,800 shops and restaurants within six months.
Eligible households include residential customers with low electricity consumption and elderly customers qualified for concessionary tariffs.
They will receive their coupons by post by the end of January, while the company’s community partners will distribute coupons to 10,000 tenants of subdivided units.
Over 2,800 outlets will accept the coupons, including restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, electrical appliance stores, pharmacies, laundries, hair salons, and social enterprise retail shops.
The coupons can also be used for takeaways in most of the participating restaurants amid the ban on dine-in service for dinner.
A booklet containing a full list of businesses taking part has been sent to elderly customers and tenants of subdivided units.
The list is also available on the program’s webpage, which could also be accessed via the QR code on the coupon.
Participating outlets will display a program sticker on their shopfront to indicate where the coupons can be used.
