CLP Power staffers on Friday inspected a power facility at Tsz Wan Shan that was said to have caused a power disruption spanning parts of Kowloon and the New Territories late on Thursday night.
The power disruption happened late yesterday, with police receiving reports of a suspected explosion at power facilities near Fei Ngo Shan, or Kowloon Peak. The Fire Services Department also received 140 reports of people trapped in lifts.

On Friday morning, the power company sent maintenance workers to Fei Ngo Shan, with workers climbing up the power pylon to make repairs and investigate the cause of the incident.
Police officers were also on the scene to help with the investigation.
CLP Power said in a statement early this morning that its high-voltage electrical power supply system at Tsz Wan Shan suffered multiple voltage dips between 11.26pm and 12.06am, though the power supply was never completely cut off.
