(Central Station) Colorful rays light up Hong Kong sky

After a stressful day at work, Hongkongers look up and are soothed by colorful rays of the sunset's afterglow this evening.

Just a day before Mid-Autumn Festival, many citizens already have their cameras out to capture the sky and moon.

They uploaded pictures of the orange afterglow, as well as pink crepuscular rays-- shafts of light seen just after the sun has set. They form when the sun set behind an irregularly shaped cloud which lets the rays of the sun pass through a cloud in bands.

More pictures can be seen on the Facebook page of Community Weather Observing Scheme.
