Ceiling plaster falls off in Princess Margaret Hospital; no injuries
A piece of plaster fell from the ceiling of a covered walkway outside the hospital on Tuesday (Apr 4), the Princess Margaret Hospital announced last night. No patients nor staff were injured.
The plaster, measuring approximately 25 centimeters by 10 centimeters, fell off from the concerned walkway outside the hospital's Block J yesterday morning, according to the spokesman.
It added that no one was injured, and patient service was unaffected.
The hospital has cordoned off the concerned area, and repair work is scheduled to be completed within days. The concerned building is 45 years old, and the incident did not involve structural safety.
The hospital has reported the incident to the Hospital Authority Head Office via the Advance Incident Reporting System.
