Carrie Lam to visit Shenzhen on Wed to discuss collaboration

Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor will head to Shenzhen and Guangzhou on Wednesday to speak on her policy address measures in regards to collaboration with Shenzhen.
In a statement, the government said Lam will depart for Guangzhou via Shenzhen on Wednesday -- that is, if tropical cyclone Kompasu doesn't ruin her plan.

Lam will attend the opening ceremony of the 130th China Import and Export Fair and the Pearl River International Trade Forum, before departing for Shenzhen in the afternoon to meet with the leaders of the city, according to the statement.

Alongside Lam are officials including Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Edward Yau Tang-wah and Commissioner for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tommy Yuen Man-chung.

Secretary for the Environment Wong Kam-sing, Secretary for Transport and Housing Frank Chan Fan, Secretary for Innovation and Technology Alfred Sit Wing-hang and Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung will join the visit programme in Shenzhen.

Lam will then return to Hong Kong in the evening, and during her absence, chief secretary John Lee Ka-chiu will be the Acting Chief Executive.
