The government allows people aged 60 or above who have received three jabs at least three months ago to get a fourth jab.

Lam, 64, did her thing at the community vaccination center at Hong Kong Central Library and then also inspected the center with the Secretary for Food and Health, Sophia Chan Siu-chee, and the Secretary for the Civil Service, Patrick Nip Tak-kuen. She thanked medical staff for administering jabs to Hongkongers.

Chan also received the fourth Sinovac jab on-site.

The Chief Executive said: "So far, only 60 percent of children aged three to 11 and 70 percent of elderly aged 70 or above have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, which is far more than other age groups.

"The protection provided by the vaccines would decrease over time. I appeal to all elderly aged 60 or above to get a fourth jab.

"As schools will resume face-to-face classes next week, I also called on parents to get their children vaccinated as soon as possible so that they can be protected," she said.
