Police are probing a burglary at a community testing center in Tai Po, after testing equipment and notebook computers went missing.
The Food and Health Bureau announced on Monday that the services at Tai Wo Sports Centre community testing center have resummed following police investigation of a suspected burglary on Sunday night.
Testing properties were lost, including the notebook computers used for registration.
A bureau spokesman emphasized that the notebook computers concerned access data via a network, and no personal information is required to be saved in the computers under normal circumstances.
They are also protected with security measures to prevent unauthorized persons from starting up the computers and downloading any information by accessing the network.
The bureau has reached out to the contractor concerned to understand the details of the incident and follow up.
