Boat collision in Sai Kung causes one death and injures another
A speedboat collided with a fishing boat in Sai Kung this morning, causing one death and one injury.
The collision between the two vessels happened at 9.56 am and 20 km off Tsam Chuk Wan, with one man declared dead on the scene.
Another man was found injured and unconscious, having to be airlifted to the Eastern Hospital for medical care.
The cause and the course of the accident are still under investigation, and three people were arrested with the suspicion of endangering the safety of the others on the sea.
The speedboat was towed back to the Marine Police East Divisional headquarters for further investigation.
