Basketball coach accused of taking nude photos of students remanded
A part-time basketball coach accused of taking 120 nude photos and 11 videos of four underage teenagers appeared in West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts on Saturday and saw his case adjourned to next Thursday.
Ho Chun-wing, 26, who worked full-time as a waiter, was charged with five counts of indecent assault, four counts of procurement of people under 16, and a count of procurement of person under 18 for making pornography.
Ho appeared before magistrate Edward Wong Ching-yu this morning and needed not yet enter a plea awaiting eight other potential victims to undergo the identification process.
The case was then referred to the Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts and scheduled for next Thursday (May 26). Ho was remanded in police custody until then.
It was understood that Ho invited four male students aged between 14 and 16 to his home at Tung Shing House, Tai Hang Tung Estate in Sham Shui Po, claiming he would teach them how muscles grow and offering them massages but ended up sexually assaulting the boys instead.
Ho allegedly sexually assaulted a 16-year-old boy “A” twice at his home on April 30 and May 7; a 15-year-old boy “C” twice one April day; and another 15-year-old boy “G” one day between April and May.
He also allegedly took three nude pictures and a video of “A” between February 8 and 22; seven more pictures of “A” between April 21 and May 5; and 101 nude photos and 10 masturbating videos of “C” between February 2 and May 15.
As for the remaining procurement charges, it said Ho took two nude photos of “G” between March 20 and 22; and seven other nude photos of the fourth boy, “H” aged 14, between February 14 and March 23.
