Ballots were drawn for the Housing Authority's sale under the Green Form Subsidized Home Ownership Scheme, with 21 applicants fighting for one flat.
The authority received 72,000 applications for about 3,400 flats, the highest number since the scheme began in 2016.
Estates include Kai Chuen Court in Diamond Hill, providing 2,112 flats with sellable areas ranging from 184 to 481 square feet.
About 530 unsold or rescinded flats from Dip Tsui Court in Chai Wan and Ching Fu Court in Tsing Yi, as well as about 800 recovered Tenants Purchase Scheme flats, will also be available.
In a ballot drawing ceremony broadcast on
Facebook yesterday, the first 10 numbers drawn were 54, 23, 20, 49, 60, 21, 57, 68, 25 and 70.The result has been uploaded to the authority's website.
Applicants who have submitted online applications will receive an e-mail notification of the results. They will be invited by the authority to submit supporting documents of their income and assets to make sure they are eligible under the scheme.
Successful applicants will be able to select flats in October at the earliest.
Cleresa Wong Pie-yue, chairman of the authority's aubsidized housing committee, said: "We believe that the sales performance will be ideal. Kai Chuen Court will be highly attractive for buyers as it is well located and has convenient transport. Some applicants wish to purchase the recovered flats because they want a cheaper and bigger flat."
The Green Form scheme allows the selling of public housing flats to eligible applicants at a lower price than those of Home Ownership Scheme flats.
