A car crash in Yuen Long early Sunday morning involving three vehicles injured two drivers and nine passengers.
The accident happened at around 1 am, a sedan was driving along Tai Tong Road when a taxi in the opposite lane attempted to enter a village. The sedan driver could not brake in time and lost control, crashing into a red minibus and colliding with the back of the taxi.
The sedan driver once trapped inside the car that lay wrecked on the road before the firefighters arrived to rescue him.
The 28-year-old driver of the sedan, surnamed Chan, and the two passengers were injured. The 40-year-old minibus driver, Cho, and seven passengers aged 25 to 59 were also sent to hospitals.
The 68-year-old taxi driver Wong was not injured and stayed on the site to assist in the investigation.
According to sources, all three drivers passed the alcohol breathalyzer tests. Law enforcement doesn't rule out the possibility that speeding might be the cause of the accident.
